I have received notice from Bristol Water that they will be “flushing” the water mains across the whole of our parish on Monday 20th & Tuesday 21st January. They say that:
Flushing pushes clean water through the network, clearing sediment out of pipes and ensuring that high water quality standards are maintained. When we are flushing, we always try to minimise disruption to customers whilst working as quickly as we can to complete the work safely. The process means you might see water running overground or near to where we are working. We never unnecessarily waste water and flushing only lasts as long as absolutely necessary.”
