Defibrillators and Bleed Kit
Defibrillators
The village has two public access defibrillators.
One is attached to the Village Hall in Ham Lane and the other is on the Acorn Lakes site in Lampley Road. Both are available 24/7
There are a number of other defibrillators in the surrounding area. The defib finder site here (opens in a new window) shows where these are, both locally and across the country.
For more information about heart issues and the benefits of resuscitation and defibrillators, the British Heart Foundation site here (opens in a new window) contains a great deal of information.
Bleed Kit
A bleed kit – containing materials that will help in cases of catastrophic bleeding – is attached to the defibrillator on the Village Hall.
Bleed kits are a recent initiative which has been well supported in the Bristol area and led by the Police, the Ambulance Service and a local business called Heartsafe. The Heartsafe website here (opens in a new window) has more information.
