Mobile Library Service – Interim Arrangements (August 2024 onwards)
North Somerset Council have devised an interim solution pending the arrival of their new electric vehicle at the end of 2025.
From late July, the mobile library team will be operating a Click and Collect service.
Customers will be able to:
• Collect reservations from the mobile library team, at the times and locations shown on the timetable
• Return items to the mobile library team
• For more information about the Click and Collect Mobile Library Service, please call 01275 888 864
or email [email protected]
The library van will be at our Village Hall at its usual times – 11.10 until 12.40 – and will be there on the following dates:
August 6th and 20th
September 3rd and 17th
October 1st, 15th and 29th
NSC will be delivering this service using a white van marked with North Somerset Council logos and displaying the mobile library A-Frame sign.
Customers can reserve books and audiobooks online here (opens in a new tab) www.librarieswest.org.uk with their library card and PIN. If they need help with this, we encourage them to get in touch with us. They can also visit any North Somerset library (and those in neighbouring authorities) and borrow items with their library card. For those who can’t get to a branch, a range of library services including eBooks and eAudiobooks are available for free online at (opens in a new tab) www.librarieswest.org.uk.
So that’s good news!
Steve Dixon, Parish Clerk, 27th July 2024
