Prepare your walking boots! The biggest challenge in Somerset is BACK for 2023 and Weston Hospicecare call on the community to take on the majestic Mendip Challenge which will take place on Sunday 4 June 2023.
It will feature the iconic 30, 20, 10 and 5 mile routes for supporters to tackle while raising money for the hospice. The routes follow the West Mendip Way on the Mendip Hills between Wells and Weston.
Pricing to take part is as follows…
Adults

- 30 and 20 miles – £25.00
- 10 miles – £20.00
- 5 miles – £15.00
Children
-
- 30 and 20 miles – £12.50
- 10 and 5 miles – £10.00
The event has been running since 1991 with thousands of people completing it since. Events and Challenges Manager, Nicola Slark, says “We can’t wait to see our amazing supporters tackle this incredible challenge again this Summer. There really is something for everyone with four beautiful routes following the superb West Mendip Way. Last year you raised more than £56,000 for the hospice by taking to the beautiful countryside across the Mendip Hills.
“So whether you fancy giving one of Somerset’s toughest challenges a crack or you want to follow the family-friendly routes, we’d love to see you there on 4 June.”
Supporters will receive a medal, a reusable water bottle, and a route guide to help them complete the challenge.
