Formal Notice of Local Elections
Update 7th April 2023
Seven people were nominated to be Parish Councillors and, because that is how many we need on the Parish Council, the election is deemed as “uncontested”. The seven nominees will formally become the new Parish Council with effect from Tuesday 9th May 2023 and there will NOT now be an election for Parish Councillors.
These are the elected Parish Councillors for the new term:
BARBER Richard James
BARTLETT Zoe Jean
COX Paul Victor
GILLAM Andy
HUMPHRIES Susie
MALTON Fred
SEWELL Michael Alan
The first meeting of the new council is on Wednesday 10th May and will take place in the church.
Councillors Bryony Cole and Ian Wariner officially “retire” on the 9th May and the village thanks them for their service.
There WILL be an election on the 4th May for the two seats – representing the Yatton Ward – on the North Somerset District Council. There are six candidates for these two seats.
Please remember that to vote at the election, you will need to take photographic ID to the polling station. The ID acceptable is on the back of your Poll Card.
